What is Bowenwork?

Subtle moves are done over fascia that are in effect, stretches and rolling releases.  These movements can affect muscles, tendons and ligaments.  An essential element of Bowenwork is that after every few moves, a pause of a few minutes is given to allow the body to integrate the messages.

It takes a little time for a feedback lope to occur, in which the nervous system takes the stretch message to the brain and for the brain to respond with a normalizing message back to the fascia.  Then another series of moves are done, and another pause is given.

While results can often be felt immediately, the power of the response evolves over the entire week.
